Girvan 12 års single grain fra Murray McDavid er enkelt korn whisky fra serien Select grain.

Duft: Lidt dåse dufte som dog forsvinder hurtigt, valnødder kommer med sirups agtig ananas med kokoscreme og karamel, med et strejf af mælkechokolade praline.

Smag: En god honning smag med citronmasse og der kommer mere karamel sammen lidt pebret grøn eg.

Eftersmag: karamellen forbliver med kiks noter og byg sukker med kardemomme.

Girvan 12 års er destilleret i 2007 i Bourbon hogshead og færdig i 1 st fyld Madeira barrique. Fra 2 fade med ialt 839 flasker. Cask nr. 700015 + 15A.

En velsmagende fad-færdig 2007 vintage Girvan enkeltkorn. Kornwhiskyen blev destilleret i 2007 og blev lagret i en bourbon -fad i de fleste af sine år og blev færdig på første fyld på Madeira barrique. Som 12 -årig tappede Murray McDavid det på flaske til Select Grain -serien i en begrænset udgave på 8.391 flasker.

The maturation process is of utmost importance in creating good Scotch whisky. Pouring clear, newly distilled spirit into an oak cask is the process of whiskey maturation. Choosing the type of wood and how long the spirit has matured is the art of maturation.

Murray McDavid was established early in 1994 and has quickly become a leading Scotch whiskey producer. They are one of the first to start using a range of interesting casks in the art of maturation to produce new inspired Scotch Whisky.

Murray McDavid was established by London wine merchants Mark Reynier, Simon Coughlin and Springbank Distillery's Gordon Wright. They quickly gained a reputation for maturing whiskey in interesting casks, especially fine wine casks. In 2000 the Murray McDavid team set about re-opening the closed Bruichladdich Distillery on Islay and engaged Jim McEwan, Islay's most famous Master Distiller.

In 2012, spirits giant Remy Cointreau bought Bruichladdich Distillery and Murray McDavid. Later, Murray McDavid was sold to its current owners, leading Scotch whiskey broker, Aceo Ltd.
Today, Murray McDavid's home is the Coleburn Distillery in Speyside, where they continue the tradition of bottling artificially matured Scotch whisky.
