This LBV 2014 Port from Quinta do Pego is an elegant port wine, with a deep ruby red color and a fresh and delicate aroma with good intensity. The incredibly well-structured port wine with a full and fresh fruit taste with notes of e.g. wild plants, red and black fruits – as well as silky, but at the same time powerful tannins, and last but not least, an incredibly pleasant and persistent aftertaste.

Scent: With intense and charming aromas of ripe raspberries, blackcurrants, black cherries and there are floral undertones.
Taste: Very rich and concentrated with silky fruit, with pleasant acidity and a long rounded aftertaste.

Unfiltered, delicious LBV port wine which tastes fantastic now, but which can easily be stored for 10-20 years from the harvest year.

Quinta do Pégo LBV is produced from the property's A-classified vineyards located at an altitude of up to 350 meters, where they are harvested with extremely low yields.

Late Bottled Vintage is a bit of a cross between vintage port and cask port. A port wine from a good year that is aged unmixed in cask for a minimum of 4 years. Pégo's example is mainly made from Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinto Cão and Sousão grapes.

The 2014 vintage of this price-basket of a Late Bottled Vintage Port is probably the most elegant version of the wine to date.

Quinta do Pégo is a Danish-owned vineyard located on the road from Régua to Pinhão - approx. 3 km before Pinhão on the right – in the Douro Valley in Portugal. The vineyard is located 138 meters above the water level of the Douro River, with the vineyards located up to 350 meters above the water level of the Douro River. It is undoubtedly one of the most beautifully situated Quintas in the Douro Valley.

Since January 2000, 50% of Quinta do Pégo has been owned by AMKA – and since September 2003 Quinta do Pégo has been owned 100 % by AMKA.
