In this Mix Selv Kasse – Fanø Bryghus you can choose between the following beers:

Fanø Vestkyst Pale ale 5.7%:

The most hoppy beer is like a fresh splash of foam from the wild North Sea. The beer is light in colour, but juicy, strong and dry with a markedly fruity and spicy taste of aromatic hops.
Goes well with smørrebrød, cheese and sweet desserts.

Fanø Stormflod Chocolate milk stout 5.8%:

This marks the many severe storms that have hit Fanø with severe destruction, especially one of the biggest that hit Fanø in 1981. Beer with a fine balance with sweetness and light body, a stout that should be enjoyed when the challenges are raging around you.
Goes well with: Barbeque, chocolate cake and ice cream.

Fanø amber Stock 4.6%:

The name derives from the local gemstone and, like it, is golden and unfiltered with a fresh and full flavor, but rather dry and slightly aromatic.
Goes well with: Grilled meat, salads with cheese and fruit desserts.

Fanø Vadehav Brown ale 6.5%:

Dark beer created for evenings and relaxation. The taste is strong and complex with a medium dry and discreet spicy taste that gives warmth.
Goes well with: Roast pork, grilled meat, nuts and chocolate cakes

Fanø Heather wheat, Wheat deal with heather and spices 5%:

Unfiltered and amber-golden in color and lively foamy with dry slightly aromatic and refreshing with discreet spicy taste.
Goes well with: Salads, fish and fruit desserts.

Fanø Spring Helles Boch 6.5%:

Brewed to give thirst the first lark whistle of the year. Light in color with aroma of ripe grain with a strong dry slightly bitter malty taste.
Goes well with: Pork, camembert and spicy dishes.

About the Brewery:

The microbrewery Fanø Bryghus, which is located on the small island off the coast of Jutland, wins the title of Danish Brewery of the Year 2021. Fanø Bryghus was nominated by as many as five local branches; Varde, Esbjerg, Sønderborg, Middelfart and Ribe.

Fanø Bryghus has existed since 2009, but got new owners in 2018, with Sofie Janson becoming director. Steve Rold, who came from the USA to Fanø to brew beer, is behind the brewery. It wasn't until 2018 that things really took off with a new, local ownership group that allowed brewmaster Steve Rold to brew the beer he wanted.

Fanø Bryghus is, among other things, known for their Mango Mussolini, Red Wedding, and then their creative labels, which often together with the beer's title reflect a little bit of Danish history.

The brewery has a very wide range and is not afraid to try new things in terms of taste and composition. Here, the ordinary consumer has the opportunity to taste good beer in all its guises. Via their fantastic brewery and dealer, they have managed to bring these many varieties to the common man and put Southern Denmark on the 'beer map'.

Fanø Bryghus has been named Brewery of the Year 2021.
