Domaines Barons De Rothschild (Lafite) ”A” Aussières Rouge is intense red in the glass with fine violet hints.
Scent: Here are intense notes of fresh raspberries, wild strawberries and the clear fresh fruit that characterizes this wine.
Taste: The wine is fresh and precise, where notes from the fragrance recur and delivers a long, balanced and intense aftertaste with beautifully integrated tannins.
Server for: Pasta, buffet, red meat and stews.

The wine:
Domaines Barons De Rothschild (Lafite) "A" Aussières is made from Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah grapes, which are harvested in the latter half of September and the first half of October. On arrival at the winery, the grapes are lightly pressed and left to macerate for 12 to 14 days before undergoing traditional fermentation in large stainless steel tanks. The wine is then stored in stainless steel tanks to preserve the fresh fruit in the final wine.
About the manufacturer:
Today, Domaines Barons de Rothschild owns Château Lafite Rothschild, which in the Médoc classification in 1855 was placed in the 1st Cru. In 1868, the castle was bought by Baron James de Rothschild and a new era in the castle's history began. Château Lafite Rothschild is still owned by the Rothschild family. The property covers an area of 100 ha, which has an annual production of 210 tonnes.
Alongside Château Lafite, the family also runs a large trading company in Bordeaux, where they own several different châteaux and produce different wines, all of which are typical of Bordeaux and Lafite. Over time, the castle has expanded its holdings in both Bordeaux, the South of France and on other continents. They have thus acquired properties or entered into partnerships with wineries in Chile and Argentina. In the foreign companies, locals work together with the winemakers from Château Lafite to produce wines that are both typical for the individual area and for Lafite. In Pauillac, Lafite also has their own winery, where the oak barrels used for their barrel-aged wines come from.
