Torabhaig Legacy Allt Gleann Batch Strength Single Malt Whisky is a special edition created to close the Allt Gleann chapter in the Legacy series. This release is bottled without dilution and demonstrates Torabhaig’s confidence in the quality of their whisky. While also highlighting the strength of their signature signature style: a well-balanced peaty flavour. Inspired by the rugged coastline surrounding the distillery on the Isle of Skye, they harness heavily peated grains to create an elegant, robust dram that combines strength with finesse to highlight the whisky’s floral and fragrant character. This limited release represents a bold interpretation of Allt Gleann and marks the end of the Allt Gleann chapter of the Legacy series.

Torabhaig Legacy Allt Gleann Batch Strength Single Malt Whisky is a heavily peated Single Malt Whisky made with Concerto malted barley, containing over 78 PPM of phenols. It is fermented with Pinnacle MG+ yeast and matured in a combination of Bourbon casks and re-used whisky casks. It is bottled undiluted at 61.1% alcohol without chill filtration or colouring and has a residual phenol level of 22.8 PPM.

Scent: Here you experience the familiar elements of Torabhaig: smoke, peat and slightly sweet vanilla leading to oak spice.
Taste: More smoke, salt and malt in the foreground. There is a distinct spicy character with subtle notes of grain, pepper and green apple. There is also a sense of deep peat embers and a touch of cedar and sawdust.
Aftertaste: Offers additional oak spice and a slight hint of fire.

Torabhaig Distillery, located on the scenic Isle of Skye in Scotland, is a distillery with a fascinating history and a passion for creating exceptional single malt whisky. Founded in 2017, Torabhaig marked the rebirth of distillery on the island, as it was the first distillery to be built on the Isle of Skye in 190 years.

Torabhaig is renowned for its skillful use of peat, which gives their single malts a well-balanced peaty flavour that captures the unique essence of the island.

Torabhaig Distillery is committed to creating exceptional, high-quality whiskies. They use Concerto malted barley with a high phenolic content, which contributes to the intense peaty character of their whisky. Fermentation is carried out with Pinnacle MG+ yeast, and aging takes place in a combination of bourbon casks and re-used whisky casks, which contribute to the complexity and depth of flavour.

A notable feature of Torabhaig's releases is their bottling without dilution at high alcohol strength, which preserves the full strength and character of the whisky. This, together with the absence of chill filtration and colouring, ensures an authentic and pure experience of their whisky.

The distillery has ambitious plans for the future and aims to launch new releases at regular intervals, until they reach their goal of presenting Torabhaig 10 Year Old Single Malt in 2028.
