Stork Club Straight Rye Whiskey is a characterful German whiskey distilled on 100% rye from the fields of Brandenburg. The aging in bourbon and German white wine barrels gives a juicy and elegant taste experience with notes of citrus, pear and herbs. With its 55% alcohol, it delivers both power and finesse - perfect for both enjoyment and cocktails.
Scent: Light and fruity with citrus and pear, spicy with notes of rye bread, green herbs and oak.
Taste: Balanced sweetness with honey, vanilla and oak, complemented by herbal nuances such as dill and basil.
Aftertaste: Long and spicy with a slightly herbal finish.
Stork Club Straight Rye Whiskey is created by Spreewood Distillers, located in the heart of Germany's breadbasket, Brandenburg. The area is known for its premium rye, which is also exported to American distilleries. This unique whiskey is made from 100% rye, distilled in a small 100-liter hybrid still, which gives maximum control over the process.
Aged in carefully selected casks – ex-bourbon and German white wine casks – it adds complexity and a juicy elegance. With an alcohol content of 55%, the whisky offers a powerful taste experience that is ideal for both neat servings and classic cocktails.
About the Manufacturer
Spreewood Distillery was taken over in 2016 by Steffen Lohr, Bastian Heuser and Sebastian Brack. Their mission has been to modernize production and experiment with local ingredients. The distillery works with two unique recipes: one based on 100% malted rye and one based on 100% unmalted rye. This dedication to innovation and quality has made Stork Club a leading player in modern rye whiskey.
