Ship rum Havmanden is a robust and spiced rum, distilled in Jamaica and subsequently refined on Fanø. The processing consists of a two-stage storage. First, the rum is stored with natural flavorings (including Fanø heather honey, sea buckthorn and Madagascar vanilla). It is then aged and finished in port casks.
The taste is slightly spicier than Havfruen, but you still find the same basic taste experience with Madagascar vanilla heather honey and sea buckthorn.

When it's hot, it can be tempting to replace the hot coffee with a colder variant - iced coffee.
- Mix 1 dl of strong coffee (preferably espresso) with a spoonful of sugar or syrup.
- Stir until the sugar/syrup is dissolved.
- Add 1.5 dl of milk.
- 2-3 cl Fanø Skipsrom.
- Fill the glass with ice cubes.
- And then just enjoying it – Uhm it's leaked.
About the Manufacturer:
It all starts with the sailing ship Doris Brodersen, which was built in Flensburg in 1875. The ship transported rum and sugar from the Danish West Indies to Flensburg. Until 1890, the ship was registered at St. Thomas, after which it became part of Fanø's sailing ship fleet, as one of the distinctive large sailing ships. One of the church naves in Nordby Kirke on Fanø is a model by Doris Brodersen.
